Artist Biography

Blood of the Beloved is the collaborative project of Nyte Shade and Skeptik, two seasoned underground artists who bring very different but deeply complementary skills to the table. Nyte Shade brings the hip-hop and horrorcore backbone while Skeptik, a one-man heathen metal act from St. Louis, brings rapid-fire harsh vocals and a wide palette of synth, atmosphere, and metal influence drawn from folk, industrial, and extreme music. Together the duo sit comfortably in the space where dark hip-hop and horror metal collide. Signed to Solunar Records, an independent label and artist collective, Blood of the Beloved debuted with Advocatus Diaboli in 2021, a sprawling 16-track statement that was remastered and reissued in 2024 as Advocatus Diaboli (The Dead Master). Blasphemous in theme, experimental in execution, and relentless in energy, the project represents one of the more genuinely cross-genre entries in the underground horror scene.
