Doc Gruesome (Nick Lorton) is a Reno-based emcee, graphic artist, and creative force carving a lane where hardcore rap collides with nu-metal, goth rock, and punk chaos. A founding member of Illtrix and key architect of the Cerberus Clique, he has spent over a decade building one of the underground's most distinctive and uncompromising identities. His sound draws from a wide range of influences including Slipknot, Deftones, Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Tech N9ne, and NWA, blending rapid-fire lyricism with haunting cinematic production to create something that defies easy categorization. Raw, emotionally unflinching, and deeply personal, his music channels real pain into visceral art, tackling mental health, addiction, survival, and resilience with a honesty that resonates far beyond the underground. As a visual artist, Doc Gruesome extends his world beyond the mic through custom graphic work, high-end merchandise, and handcrafted replica masks, creating a complete aesthetic universe that is equal parts grimy and meticulously crafted.
